Hey, guys. My name is Rozalynn and I live in St. George with my husband and my three kids. I’ve got an 8-year-old, a 6-year-old and a 4-year-old. So, they keep things pretty exciting around here. But I’m here to talk to you about meditating. Nomies asked me to talk to you about something that I am very passionate about, and I feel like meditating is essential, especially with everything that’s going on in the world; it’s just, it’s crazy. So, you need to learn how to create a safe space within yourself wherever you are. So, for me, that’s meditating. It’s just relaxing and getting back to your center and just being able to breathe and live in the present moment.

So, I’m going to give you a couple of tips and tricks that I use for myself, for my kids that are just super simple, that you can start meditating right now.

So, the first tip I have for you is to create time. You need to create a time and a space for you to show up every single day. Whether that’s in the morning, the afternoon, at night, whatever that looks like for you, it doesn’t really matter, but just create a time, and carve out time or else it won’t happen.

And the second thing that I have for you is to create a space; a physical space that you can go and feel peace. So, I like to go out in my yard, I love being surrounded by nature, so I will just lay on my grass and just be outside in nature, in the sun and I love that. But if there’s somewhere in your home that makes you really happy, just find a quiet, peaceful, beautiful, positive place that you can just automatically go and feel at peace.

So, you’ve created the time, you’ve created the space, and the third thing is to learn how to do it. If you don’t know how to meditate, there’s so many options out there. I have an app called Insight Timer that I love to use, and it has so many guided meditations for everything you can think of. If you’ve got anxiety, depression, whatever it may be, there’s a guided meditation for it.

So, get on an app, look on YouTube, whatever that looks like, but learn how to meditate if you don’t know how. There are so many resources out there to teach you. So, look for an app, do some guided meditations and just start learning.

But I also want to say that meditating looks different for everybody. Yoga, I feel like is meditation, weeding your garden can be meditation, anything that just brings you so much peace and relaxation and just living in the present moment, to me, that’s meditating. So, it’s going to look different for everybody, but those are just a couple tips to get started: to create time, to create a space, and to learn how to do it, and figure out what works best for you.

So, anyways. I hope that you guys can start meditating and learning how to do it and if you have any questions let me know.
